The Scientific Committee invites authors to submit abstracts for presentation at the 15th International Meeting of the Danubian League against Thrombosis and Haemorrhagic Disorders. Participants are kindly requested to submitt their abstracts no later than January 31st, 2009.
Submission of abstracts should be done online, using the electronic abstract form on this website. Abstracts submitted by post or fax will not be accepted. Please read the important information below before proceeding to the online submission form.
Guidelines for submission
- Abstracts need to be prepared in English.
- The abstract should be typed in Times New Roman 11 pt
- Fill out carefully all the fields of the abstract form
• Title: The title must be in capital bold letters
• Authors: Initial and famly name(s). Separate multiple authors with commas. Underline the name of the presenting author.
• Institution(s): Abbreviate if necessary.
• Text: The text of the abstract should briefly state the following sections: Background, Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Use standard abbreviations and place unusual ones in parentheses after the word first appears. Do not use abbreviations in the title. The text of the abstracts should not exceed 250 words.
• Corresponding author: The presenting author must be the contact author. The name, address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address of the corresponding author should be given as indicated
• Abstract topics: Choose among the offered topics: Thrombotic Disorders, Haemorrhagic Disorders, Coagulation and Fibrinolysis, Platelets, Vascular Biology
• Type of presentation: Choose the required type of presentation
Important Remarks
- A paper should not be submitted to the 15th International Meeting of the Danubian League Against Thrombosis and Haemorrhagic Disorders if it has been already presented internationally
- Presenting authors whose abstracts are accepted as oral communication or poster need to register for the meeting and pay the required registration fee. Please note that accepted abstracts will be printed in the Abstract Book only after completed registration and payment of the meeting registration fee.
- Please make sure your abstract does not contain spelling and grammar mistakes, as it will be reproduced exactly as submitted. Linguistic accuracy is your responsibility.
Abstracts Acceptance
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and assigned to the appropriate sessions. Authors will be notified regarding abstract acceptance and the type of presentation until March 15, 2009. Abstracts selected by the Scientific Committee will be presented as short Oral Communications during the Meeting and the rest of accepted abstracts will be presented during a poster session.
Abstracts of Invited Speakers
Speakers are requested to submit an abstract of their talk according to the instructions. These abstracts should clearly indicate the category of presentation.
Abstracts Publication
All accepted abstracts will be printed in the Book of Abstracts that will be distributed to attendees of the 15th International Meeting of the Danubian League Against Thrombosis and Haemorrhagic Disorders.
Abstracts will be available for viewing on the Danubian League 2009 official website three weeks before the meeting and afterwards on the same site with free public access.
Awards
Young Investigator Awards: A limited number of scholarships will be available to the scientists and clinicians up to 36 years of age who submit highly rated abstracts. The scholarship will partially cover costs of participation at the Meeting. To be eligible for the scholarship the young investigator must be the first author and presenter of the abstract. Please check the relevant box on the electronic abstract submission to indicate you wish to apply for this award.
Helmut Vinazzer Award: Scientific Committee will select the best poster presentation and award the first author during poster sessions.
